fable and fairy tales

Alone?

I'll be with you. Matt 28:20 ("And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.")

Afraid?

I'll make you strong. 1Peter 5:10 ("And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.")

Wanna cry?

I'll comfort you. 2Cor 1:3 ("Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,")

Was talking to caline in church today and she was telling me about how she has no burden for children church anymore. And i said, "well, i have no burden for anything anymore." Which is kinda true. What do you expect from one who hasn't been doing her quiet time for almost 6 mths?

My spiritual life is almost non-existent. And i'm starting to have doubts in God.

Perhaps i've been a christian for too long, so much so that religion has become a routine. The bible verses used by pastor are way too familiar.

The topic of religion came up the other day when i was studying with sining at bk. Is christianity merely a fable made up by Man to comfort themselves? When things don't go well, they say God has better plans for you. When you start to have doubts, it's the work of Satan, so on and so forth.

Faith is blind. To have faith, means to defy the logical mind, which is how i've been trained to think.

On the other hand, how can one who has experienced and seen the work of God deny his existence?

I'm confused.

Hi Couzin,

"On the other hand, how can one who has experienced and seen the work of God deny his existence?"

I am sure you do believe in what you have experienced and seen. And i'm sure the experience would be no less wonder/awe inspring.

But what of people of other religion? They too claim to have exerienced and seen the work of their god. And some of these religion, are mutually exclusive with Christianity.

Who is to say who is right? Without a logical mind, how are we to discern true from false?

It is the same logical mind that help protect us from MLM scams and such. Surely employing logic, is not without its merits.

Lov, Couzin.
